Psychosocial Risk Assessment Tools
(Available free with Small, Medium & Large Plans)
People at Work aims to help create psychologically healthy workplaces. Because every workplace is unique, a risk management process is required to identify psychosocial hazards, assess risks and implement strategies to control the risks. The risk management approach aligns with Safe Work Australia’s Code of Practice on How to manage work health and safety risks. You can also check with your work health and safety regulator for specific guidance that may be relevant in your state or territory.
People at Work is Australia’s only validated and evidence based psychosocial risk assessment survey tool with benchmarking that measures psychosocial hazards and factors. People at Work can help you comply with your health and safety duties, better manage work-related psychosocial hazards and factors and prevent psychological harm.

WorkWell Survey
The WorkWell Survey (WWS) is designed to assist employers to better understand the psychological health and safety of their workplace. The Survey is an innovative online self-assessment tool that provides insights into workplace conditions, culture and psychological health and safety. The WWS identifies workplace areas of success and areas for improvement and the results will help employers create strategies and action plans to improve the mental health and wellbeing of workplaces.
Combined with the WorkWell Toolkit, employers have a two-step process they can access to help create a psychologically healthy and safe workplace:
- Complete the survey to understand current workplace psychological health and safety and identify areas for improvement.
- Access the WorkWell Toolkit for practical resources, tools and information to action survey recommendations and implement changes to improve workplace mental health and wellbeing.
There are two different surveys to help employers understand the current psychological health and safety of their workforce:
- One for leaders who are in a position to drive meaningful change towards improving workplace mental health and safety.
- One for workers to complete.
Both surveys allow employers to understand current perspectives and experiences of psychological health and safety at their workplace at an organisational level, which can then be compared to the day-to-day lived experiences of their workers. It is recommended the WWS is completed annually to help track progress and identify new areas for improvement.

WORKPLACE SATISFACTION SURVEY
A Workplace Satisfaction Survey is a tool using structured questions to gauge how happy, content and fulfilled employees feel about their jobs, managers, company culture, workload and overall work environment, providing actionable data to improve the employee experience, boost retention and enhance productivity. It’s a key method for organizations to gather direct, often anonymous, feedback to identify issues and make data-driven improvements, moving beyond just guessing how staff feel.
