A new study of more than 17,000 people below director level and employed by organisations with more than 250 staff members in nine European markets were surveyed and found that:
26% of employees would be willing to slightly reduce their salary in order to have more flexible working conditions.
54% of respondents would not be willing to reduce their salary for more flexible working conditions.
27% said they found it challenging to motivate themselves due to a lack of contact with colleagues.
23% said that the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic made work seem less important.
53% reported being less stressed working from home.
56% said they were more productive working from home.
The pandemic has opened up discussion for employers about different flexible working arrangements for staff to both promote productivity and support mental health.
